Air Jordan 8
After wearing the Nike Air Jordan VIII, and achieving his first three-peat, Michael Jordan decided to leave basketball and venture into his baseball career, marking his first retirement from the NBA.
The Air Jordan VIII was released to coincide with the 1992-1993 NBA season. The base of the Air Jordan VIII was similar to that of the Air Jordan VII model, but it featured a few more details, including two crossover straps and a Jumpman logo. The Air Jordan VIII became known as the "Punisher" due to its advanced ankle support and superior traction. The shoe also contains a full-length air sole and a circular pattern midsole to keep all the zones on your feet comfortable. The VIII's do not feature a Nike insignia because the Jordan Brand felt it was strong enough at this point to hold its own.
