Air Jordan 12
Bearing no Nike insignia at all, the Nike Air Jordan XII symbolized the end of Nike's reign and the beginning of the Jordan brand dynasty.
The Air Jordan XII was inspired by the Japanese flag and a 19th century women's dress boot. The XII featured gold-plated steel lace loops, a Zoom Air unit, a modified herringbone pattern for improved traction, and a more advanced carbon fiber shank plate. The shoe also represented a new direction in in shoe design. Though not as lightweight as previous models, the Air Jordan XII's firm construction is still considered to be the most durable of the entire Air Jordan line.
